Quick Rewards Redemption Process

  • Once the transaction is done on your IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card, you will receive a transaction message.
  • The transaction message will be followed immediately by a Quick Redemption Service message highlighting the number of rewards earned on the particular transaction.
  • The message will mention rewards earned on that particular transaction.
  • If you want to redeem your reward points, SMS keyword"Instant"followed by number of reward points mentioned in previous message and forward it to 5676757 and we shall process your request in 3 working days

Roadside Repair Service:
In the event that your vehicle breaks down on the road due to any Mechanical / Electrical fault, Auto Assist will help in arranging for the mechanic for repair of your vehicle at the vehicle's breakdown location.

Emergency Fuel Supply:
If, your vehicle gets stranded on the road due to lack of fuel, the Auto Assist shall arrange to deliver the fuel (up to 5 liters) to the location where your vehicle is stranded.

Flat Tire Services:
In case of a flat tire, the Auto Assist shall arrange for a mechanic to come and repair the flat tire.

Keys Locked Inside:
In the case of car keys getting locked inside the car or keys getting misplaced, Auto Assist can even arrange for a locksmith to come and either prepare a new car key or open your car for you at the time of need.

Terms & Conditions: Jet Airways Bookings

  • Eligible card holders shall be sent an SMS on their registered mobile number and email on their email address informing them of a unique promotion code ("Code") within (fifteen) 15 days of payment of fees of the ("Card"). Such Eligible card holder/s would need to use this Code on Jet Airways (India) Limited ("Jet Airways")' website www.jetairways.com to book a one-way ticket for Domestic on economy segment ("Ticket").
  • Eligible card holders shall be sent the requisite number of Codes as per the fee plan selected by them on their registered mobile number and email address. It shall be the responsibility of the card holder/s to ensure that the mobile number and email address available with the bank is in use and is accessed only by the eligible card holder. IndusInd Bank Limited ("Bank") shall not be liable or responsible for any malfunction, inactivity or misuse of the mobile phone or number which results in inability of the eligible card holder to use / view the code.
  • Economy Class tickets shall belong to select classes (V) of inventory on Jet Airways and Jet Konnect and (R&I) inventory on Jet Airways Codeshare Flights operated on Jet Lite (India) Limited (Jet Lite Flights).
  • (V) Class Inventory is not available on certain sectors. These sectors are subject to change at the discretion of Jet Airways.
  • Each Code is valid for booking for (six) 6 months from the date of issue on a domestic sector serviced by non stop direct flights of Jet Airways, Jet Konnect and Jet Airways Codeshare Flights operated on Jet Lite Flights ; save and except on such sectors which are expressed herein to be not covered by the ("Offer").
  • Bank shall pay only the base fare of the Ticket and the Eligible card holder shall be liable to pay all other charges including but not limited to all applicable taxes, fees, airlines charges, surcharge, etc. All such charge shall be paid directly by the eligible card holder to Jet Airways at the time of booking by using their respective Card.
  • Bookings to be made at least (seven) 7 days prior to the desired date of travel.
  • Tickets shall be subject to availability.
  • Corporate benefits of Jet Privilege benefits shall not accrue on such tickets.
  • The base fare of the tickets would be non-refundable. In case of cancellations, taxes shall be refunded to the eligible card holders and Jet Airways shall be solely responsible for all such tax refunds to the eligible card holders.
  • This promotion may not be combined with or applied to other certificates, vouchers, awards, promotions, special offers including but not limited to upgrades from Jet Airways. The promotion is not valid on government fares, tour / travel packages, group / convention / company meeting fares, bereavement, other companion fares, senior citizen discounts, corporate agreements, student fares, child fares, travel industry discounts or any other unpublished discounts.
  • Bank does not underwrite or warrant the services performed by Jet Airways and shall not have any liability for any defect, deficiency, delay, unavailability or imperfection in such goods / services of for any loss or damage that may be suffered, to a card holder directly or indirectly by use or non-use of the products / services provided by Jet Airways.
  • All standard terms and conditions of Jet Airways with respect to bookings, cancellation and air travel including but not limited to baggage charges etc., will apply to these tickets also.
  • Bank's responsibility in the present offer is limited to communicating the Code to the eligible card holders on their listed mobile numbers and email address. The card holder hereby agrees that Jet Airways is solely responsible for the acts and omission relating to the tickets including but not limited to, availability of tickets in accordance with the preferences of the card holders, offering free base fare on "V" class Tickets being booked by eligible card holders quality of service in respect of Tickets and air travel, etc.
  • Any dispute / complaint regarding the present offer must be addressed by the card holder in writing within (ten) 10 Business days from the date of the event to Jet Airways directly and bank shall not entertain any communication in this regard including any claims with respect to eligibility under the present offer as more particularly defined herein above..
  • Bank reserves the right to change / modify / withdraw / suspend / cancel this offer or any features relating to this offer including the eligibility criteria, dates of offer, etc, at any time without prior notice to any card holder.
  • Rescheduling of tickets booked using the Codes is not permitted.
  • Bank and Jet Airways will maintain secrecy and confidentiality of their respective Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Travel date and booking date have to be within the expiry date of the promo codes

How to redeem
All you need to do to redeem your reward points against any of the Reward Redemption option is to call our phone banking number on 1860 267 7777 and place a request stating your choice.

Terms and Conditions:

  • For every INR100 spent on the Platinum Card, IndusInd Bank shall award 1.5 Reward Points (‘Reward Points”).
  • The value of the Reward Points for the purpose of redemption is as under

  • IndusInd Bank reserves the right to change the rate of conversion of Reward Points to airline miles or cash credit or towards any other redemption option at any time without prior notice. However, this change will be restricted to incremental points and there will be no impact on already converted Reward Points.
  • IndusInd Bank does not underwrite or warrant the services against which the reward points are redeemed including but not limited to any activities concerning air travel services and redemption of airline miles provided by airline partners and shall not have any liability for any loss, damage, defect, deficiency, delay or imperfection in such services or for any loss or damage that may be suffered, or for any personal injury to a IndusInd Bank Credit card holder (“card holders”) directly or indirectly by use or non-use of the services provided by the airline or any other service provider. Any disputes regarding delivery, service, quality or performance of products/services under the offer must be addressed in writing by the card holder directly to the airline or the service provider.
  • With effect from 1st June 2013, the maximum number of reward points that can be redeemed in one statement cycle is 10,000 reward points for IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card for Cash Credit option.
  • Terms and Conditions of the respective airlines and service providers will apply.

Terms and Conditions

  • The IndusInd Bank "Quick Redeem Service" is a new feature on the IndusInd Bank Signature Credit Card and IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card.
  • The feature is available only for IndusInd Bank Signature Credit Card and IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card i.e. it does not include the Co-Brand, Platinum Select, Gold and Classic Credit Cards.
  • Customers will receive a SMS for eligible transactions. Eligibility of transactions will be determined at the sole discretion of the Bank and may differ from time to time.
  • Customer can only request quick redemption of reward points for the transaction only where he gets an SMS informing him of the reward points accrued.
  • Redemption will be processed only if the customer replies with the correct reward points as mentioned in the SMS.
  • For any additional redemption customer needs to get in touch with our contact Centre
  • Customer cannot request for higher/Lower redemption of reward points basis available reward points in his card account.
  • Only request made through registered mobile number will be processed.
  • Reward points can only be redeemed against Cash Credit through this feature.
  • This is not a cash back offer.
  • The reward point redeemed and reward point balance will reflect on monthly statement.
  • Cash credit will reflect within 3 working days of receipt of request for redemption subject to availability of points.
  • If the first card of the customer is a Gold/Co-brand/Platinum Select card then redemption will be processed on second card i.e. Signature Card or Platinum Card as Gold /Co-brand/Plat Select will not receive the SMS.
  • In case of multiple transactions (on the same day), the response for redemption should be sent against each transaction. The redemption will not be processed if consolidated response for all transactions (on the same day) is sent.
  • In case of multiple transactions (of same value), the redemption would be processed for the oldest transaction if only one response is received.

  • The IndusInd Bank golf program is not to be regarded as a golf club membership.
  • Acceptance of all bookings/changes to tee times will be at the discretion of the golf clubs and subject to availability.
  • Card holders are to make all enquiries and bookings through IndusInd Bank concierge. Card holders will not be granted access rights to the golf clubs without booking through IndusInd Bank concierge. Golf clubs will not entertain any correspondence / enquiries and /or attempts for bookings directly from the card holders.
  • IndusInd Bank reserves the right to change / replace the golf clubs at which golf benefits are being offered without notice.
  • Golf Rates quoted may not be inclusive of taxes and are subject to change without notice.

Access to Golf Clubs in India

  • Under the IndusInd Bank Golf Program, primary InduInd Bank Platinum Credit card holders (“card holders”) may enjoy complimentary to select golf clubs in India on weekdays and weekends. Add-on card holders are treated as guests.
  • The Golf and other benefits offered to the CH are exclusive and are non-transferable
  • Minimum Player Conditions: Weekdays - minimum of 2 balls per flight: Weekends / Holidays - minimum of 3 balls per flight.   • A card holder shall be permitted to book a maximum of 14 days in advance and can hold only one booking at a time.
  • All other fees are to be borne by the card holder(s) and his/her guest(s).
  • Golfers must have at least a valid handicap. However in clubs where handicap is not compulsory on weekdays, CH may be provided assistance for the booking at the golf course on a best effort basis.
  • There will be no rain check .i.e. no carry forward of round due to any inclement weather or for any other neither reason nor refund of guest charges or any other charges paid.
  • Weekend rates apply for golf games booked on a Saturday / Sunday / restricted holiday / public holiday as applicable.
  • Card holders may be allowed to play in the same flight with a Club Member / other Green Fee paying guests subject to fulfillment of the minimum flight conditions and the Club Member/ other Green Fee paying guest having already made the booking prior to the Card holders' request. How long does it normally take for the mechanic to come to me in the time of emergency?

What is the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card contains an embedded microchip on the face of the card. The customer data embedded in the microchip is extremely difficult to copy or counterfeit. Chip technology is designed to take security to the next level by giving you a secure environment to transact. For better acceptability across merchants, IndusInd Bank EMV chip Credit Card will also contain a magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card to ensure swipe transactions.

What are the benefits of the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

With the EMV chip technology, all the data that was stored on the magnetic strip will be additionally embedded on the chip. A Credit Card with a chip is more secure and reliable than the one with just the magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card, as it is difficult to copy customer details from an embedded chip. How do I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

How will I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card on a chip (POS – point of sale) terminal?

At a chip terminal, you simply:

  • Insert your Credit Card into the chip slot
  • When your transaction is completed, remove your card from the chip slot and take your receipt, sign on the merchant copy and give the same back to the merchant. Retain your copy for future reference
How will I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card on a non-chip (POS point of sale) terminal?

At some merchants your chip Credit Card will be used the same way as your Credit Card with the magnetic stripe :

  • The card is swiped through the EDC machine at the merchant outlet
  • When your transaction is completed, take your receipt, sign on the merchant copy and give the same back to the merchant. Retain your copy for future reference
How is IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card different from what I use today?

When you make a transaction at a chip terminal, you insert your chip card into the terminal. Your IndusInd Bank EMV Chip Credit Card stays in the terminal until the transaction is complete. Transacting with the card using the chip should be a priority over using the magnetic stripe at the back of the card, since the security chip makes the transaction more secure.

Will the magnetic stripe be removed from IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Cards?

Chip cards will continue to have a magnetic stripe on the back. This will ensure that the chip cards are accepted at merchants and in other countries that have not moved to the chip technology (such as the United States).

What if the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card does not work at a merchant having a chip terminal?

IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card will work on all terminals at all merchant locations around the world. However if the EMV chip card doesn’t work at a particular terminal, the merchant will have to do the following

  • Swipe the magnetic stripe at the back of the card on the chip terminal (This is known as a fallback transaction when the chip card inserted in the chip terminal slot doesn’t work)
  • Please note that we have restricted the number of fallback transactions allowed, to a maximum of three attempts on your Credit Card to minimize the possibility of misuse on your card. If the number of attempts is exceeded beyond the allowable limit, your Credit Card will be temporarily blocked.   • If the card still doesn’t work, the merchant terminal could be faulty. What if my IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card is lost or stolen?

Yes. IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Cards can be used at any merchants around the world where your Credit Card is accepted today.

How does chip technology work for online and mail order/ IVR (Interactive Voice Response) transactions?

Online transactions will function the same way as they do today.
For online Credit Card transactions, a VBV (Verified by Visa) password will be required to complete the transaction the process will remain as it exists today.
For Mail order & Telephone transactions, effective 1st February 2011 a 6-digit OTP (One Time Password) is required and will be applicable for chip cards as well.

Can a Chip Card be compromised?

A compromise of your card means the card information has been copied and a fraudster is trying to access your account. As of now, we have not observed any compromise of a chip Credit Card as the security chip makes it difficult to copy the Credit Card details. This would be possible only if you continue to swipe the magnetic stripe of your IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card at a merchant terminal instead of inserting the chip card to complete your transaction.

Which Shopping outlets have the Chip- Enabled terminals?

Most of the merchants have chip-enabled terminals. In case the merchant doesn’t have chip enabled terminal, the card can be swiped for transactions.

Can the Chip Credit Card be used to withdraw cash?

Yes, you will be able to use your EMV chip card at the ATM’s as usual.

How do I make the payment for the chip Credit Card usage?

You can make chip card payment through online banking/ECS set up on your Bank account, Cash, Cheque, , Net Banking, etc. The process is the same as in case of other IndusInd Bank Credit Cards.

Is the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card durable?

The IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card should withstand normal wear and tear and the chip should last as long as the card is valid. However, you should take steps to ensure your card is protected to ensure longevity.

Lost Card Liability

  • All PIN based transactions (like ATM, Internet and telephone etc) are not covered.
  • Pre-delivery fraud not covered.
  • 2 days (includes reporting day) pre-reporting and 7 days (Includes reporting day) post reporting claims are covered.
  • Claim has to be reported by Card holder within 15 days from the date of loss in case of card to be admissible for claim.
  • Insurance benefit would be available only to Active card users. An active card is defined as the card with one transaction/ activity on any POS terminal in last 6 months from date of loss.

Counterfeit card liability:

  • Claim has to be reported by cardholder within 15 days from the date of issue of statement containing the disputed counterfeit transaction.

What is EMV?

EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard and Visa. It is the international standard for chip based payment cards to ensure the highest security level for Credit Card transactions.

What is the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card contains an embedded microchip on the face of the card. The customer data embedded in the microchip is extremely difficult to copy or counterfeit. Chip technology is designed to take security to the next level by giving you a secure environment to transact. For better acceptability across merchants, IndusInd Bank EMV chip Credit Card will also contain a magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card to ensure swipe transactions.

What are the benefits of the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

With the EMV chip technology, all the data that was stored on the magnetic strip will be additionally embedded on the chip. A Credit Card with a chip is more secure and reliable than the one with just the magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card, as it is difficult to copy customer details from an embedded chip. This safeguards the Credit Card from skimming frauds.

How do I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card?

Making a purchase with the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card is easy and secure. You may see minor differences in how your chip Credit Card is processed while making purchases. As part of the transition to chip, over the next few years more and more in-store payment terminals will be updated to accept chip enabled cards. For your convenience, the chip Credit Cards will continue to have the magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card. This will enable you to use your chip card at merchants who don’t have chip terminals – by swiping your card and signing the receipt. However, we would urge you to use your IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card only at the merchant establishments who use EMV Chip terminals, for safety from skimming frauds.

How will I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card on a chip (POS – point of sale) terminal?

At a chip terminal, you simply:

  • Insert your Credit Card into the chip slot
  • When your transaction is completed, remove your card from the chip slot and take your receipt, sign on the merchant copy and give the same back to the merchant. Retain your copy for future reference
How will I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card on a non-chip (POS point of sale) terminal?

At some merchants your chip Credit Card will be used the same way as your Credit Card with the magnetic stripe :

  • The card is swiped through the EDC machine at the merchant outlet
  • When your transaction is completed, take your receipt, sign on the merchant copy and give the same back to the merchant. Retain your copy for future reference
How is IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card different from what I use today?

When you make a transaction at a chip terminal, you insert your chip card into the terminal. Your IndusInd Bank EMV Chip Credit Card stays in the terminal until the transaction is complete. Transacting with the card using the chip should be a priority over using the magnetic stripe at the back of the card, since the security chip makes the transaction more secure.

Will the magnetic stripe be removed from IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Cards?

Chip cards will continue to have a magnetic stripe on the back. This will ensure that the chip cards are accepted at merchants and in other countries that have not moved to the chip technology (such as the United States).

What if the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card does not work at a merchant having a chip terminal?

IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card will work on all terminals at all merchant locations around the world. However if the EMV chip card doesn’t work at a particular terminal, the merchant will have to do the following

  • Swipe the magnetic stripe at the back of the card on the chip terminal (This is known as a fallback transaction when the chip card inserted in the chip terminal slot doesn’t work)
  • Please note that we have restricted the number of fallback transactions allowed, to a maximum of three attempts on your Credit Card to minimize the possibility of misuse on your card. If the number of attempts is exceeded beyond the allowable limit, your Credit Card will be temporarily blocked. You need to call the IndusInd Bank Phonebanking number: 1860 267 7777 to unblock your IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card.
  • If the card still doesn’t work, the merchant terminal could be faulty. Please request the merchant to use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card at another chip terminal (if possible of another acquiring bank than the one used earlier) If both the above options do not work, please contact us at our 24X7 phonebanking number 1860 267 7777.
What if my IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card is lost or stolen?

Please report the loss to us immediately on 1860 267 7777 / +91 22 4220 7777 and our phone banking officers will block your Credit Card immediately.

Can I use the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card outside India?

Yes. IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Cards can be used at any merchants around the world where your Credit Card is accepted today.

How does chip technology work for online and mail order/ IVR (Interactive Voice Response) transactions?

Online transactions will function the same way as they do today.
For online Credit Card transactions, a VBV (Verified by Visa) password will be required to complete the transaction the process will remain as it exists today.
For Mail order & Telephone transactions, effective 1st February 2011 a 6-digit OTP (One Time Password) is required and will be applicable for chip cards as well.

Can a Chip Card be compromised?

A compromise of your card means the card information has been copied and a fraudster is trying to access your account. As of now, we have not observed any compromise of a chip Credit Card as the security chip makes it difficult to copy the Credit Card details. This would be possible only if you continue to swipe the magnetic stripe of your IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card at a merchant terminal instead of inserting the chip card to complete your transaction.

Which Shopping outlets have the Chip- Enabled terminals?

Most of the merchants have chip-enabled terminals. In case the merchant doesn’t have chip enabled terminal, the card can be swiped for transactions.

Can the Chip Credit Card be used to withdraw cash?

Yes, you will be able to use your EMV chip card at the ATM’s as usual.

How do I make the payment for the chip Credit Card usage?

You can make chip card payment through online banking/ECS set up on your Bank account, Cash, Cheque, , Net Banking, etc. The process is the same as in case of other IndusInd Bank Credit Cards.

Is the IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card durable?

The IndusInd Bank EMV Credit Card should withstand normal wear and tear and the chip should last as long as the card is valid. However, you should take steps to ensure your card is protected to ensure longevity.

Safety Tips on your Credit Card

DO NOT

  • DO NOT leave your Credit Card unattended.
  • DO NOT disclose your ATM PIN/TPIN/NET BANKING PASSWORDS/OTP/CVV/VBV/MASTER SECURE PASSWORDS to anyone.
  • DO NOT seek help from strangers at the ATM even if offered voluntarily.
  • DO NOT hand over your Credit Card to any individual other than a merchant when making a purchase.
  • DO NOT handover your credit card to anyone claiming to be a representative of a Bank/VISA/Master Card or any organization.

DO

  • DO check the identity proof of the sales executive while applying for a card or loan or handing over your documents.
  • DO Check your application status after applying for any card or loan by calling the respective bank's helpline number
  • DO Pay attention to all alerts sent by the bank especially transaction alerts or address/mobile number change alert etc. Please inform the Bank immediately on any discrepancy.
  • DO Keep your Credit Card in the same place in your wallet/purse so that you notice it immediately if it is missing.
  • DO memorize your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and change it on a regular basis, destroy any physical documents of the PIN mailer.
  • DO Change your net banking passwords frequently.
  • DO Inform the Bank immediately, if there is any change in your mobile number, address etc. provided to the Bank.
  • DO ensure that the merchant processes the transaction on your credit card in your presence.
  • DO Verify that, on completion of the transaction, the Credit Card returned to you by the merchant, is yours.
  • DO check receipt of your monthly Credit Card statements. If you do not receive your Credit Card statement, contact our helpline number to check if the appropriate address is updated.
  • DO Keep the Bank's Helpline/Customer care number handy to enable immediate calling for any assistance/exigency.
