IndusPay UPI App, an Easy Way to Send and Receive Money

Posted on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 | By IndusInd Bank

UPI, or Unified Payments Interface, has been one of the most convenient things added to the banking ecosystem in the last few years. With UPI, you can make payments without having to carry wads of cash or keep track of  your cards. You can send money to your friends, shop online or pay at stores through this simple technology. All you need to do is download a UPI app on your phone and create a virtual payment address.

Today, several UPI apps are available for you to download. IndusPay – IndusInd Bank’s UPI BHIM app – is one of the best among them. Using it, you can generate your unique virtual payment address (VPA) and PIN. Then, you can make payments without the hassle of filling in any details, such as the account number or IFSC.

So, let us explore the benefits you can enjoy on the IndusPay UPI app and how you can register yourself.

Benefits Of IndusPay UPI App

  • Zero Transaction Charges

There were days when you had to pay 5% of the amount for the transfer. MasterCard and VISA still charge 1-2% of the transaction amount for making payment to a merchant. Even NEFT and IMPS levy a small charge. However, with IndusPay UPI, all the transactions are completely free!

  • Secure Transactions

When you make UPI transactions, there’s no transfer of sensitive information involved. You don’t have to provide your bank account number, nor do you have to enter your credit card number or CVV. As a result, UPI payments are safer than other digital payment modes. All you have to do is scan a QR code or enter the recipient’s VPA, enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

  • Automated Payments

The best thing about the IndusPay UPI app is that you can use it to create a UPI mandate, using which you can pre-authorise (mandate) a transaction, which will be debited from your account later. It is an easy way to automate and schedule your payments. A UPI mandate can be helpful in scenarios where funds are to be transferred later, but the commitment is already made.

  • Easy Bill Payments and Tracking

The IndusPay UPI app isn’t just limited to merchant transactions. You can also use it to pay your utility and mobile bills, recharge your mobile and data card, pay insurance premiums, etc. Plus, every time you transfer money, it’s logged into the virtual passbook, allowing you to track your spending.

  • Rewards and Cashbacks

Apart from ease of payments, the BHIM app also rewards you with cashback and rewards on every transaction. Using these, you can save a ton on merchant transactions, as well as online shopping.
