Terms and conditions: WhatsApp Banking

• The user is subscribing to the service and participating in the WhatsApp pilot launch by initiating conversation on the WhatsApp channel
• The user can unsubscribe to the channel at any time by sending ‘unsubscribe’ keyword post which any messages will not be sent
• Please note this channel cannot be used for grievance redressal or reporting fraud as of now, Indusind Bank will have no liability if any such incidents are reported on this channel
• It is advisable for customers who have subscribed to this service to delete WhatsApp when changing their device
• These terms and conditions may be withdrawn/superseded/ modified at any time whatsoever, by IndusInd Bank without any prior notice.
• The Courts in Mumbai alone shall have exclusive jurisdiction as regards any claims or matters arising out of dealings with us, and all disputes will be governed by the laws of India.
• Customer shall ensure appropriate network connection, receipt of messages by Customer shall be subject to the network connection and IndusInd Bank shall not be held responsible for any delay or non-receipt of the responses from the Bank.
• IndusInd Bank will offer balance check, mini statement, check debit card reward points and Aadhaar update as features on the WhatsApp channel. Feature addition and removal on WhatsApp is sole discretion of IndusInd Bank.
• Subscription on WhatsApp will allow the bank to send banking / non-banking alerts to the customer on WhatsApp. IndusInd bank has the discretion to stop sending these alerts on SMS or any other channel.
• The responses received by the customer on the chat messenger are based on program running at back-end. This program has been developed and regularly enhanced to handle the queries in best possible manner. However for any inappropriate answers, the bank shall not be held responsible.
• Customers shall not submit or transmit any content through this service that is:
  • Obscene, Vulgar, or Pornographic
  • Encourages the commission of a crime or violation of any law
  • Violates any state or Central law in India and/or the jurisdiction in which you reside and/or any applicable law.
  •  Infringes the intellectual or copyrights of a third party
• Under no circumstances shall IndusInd bank, or its agents, affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees, and contractors be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from the use of, or inability to use, this service or for receipt of any answer provided by the program running at the back-end. 
• The customer understands that using Whatsapp application may carry extra risks and may not be secured. Further any message and information exchanged is subject to the risk of being read, interrupted, intercepted, or defrauded by third party or otherwise subject to manipulation by third party or involve delay in transmission. Indusind Bank shall not be responsible or liable to the customer or any third party for the consequences arising out of or in connection with using of this service.
• The customer is aware that authentication technologies and strict security measures are required for using Mobile applications. The customer undertake to ensure that the password is not revealed to any third party including employees of Indusind Bank. The customer shall be solely responsible for all the communication exchanged between them and Indusind Bank while logging into this service
• The customer is responsible for keeping security safeguard of his Whatsapp account linked to the registered mobile number.
• Indusind Bank has the right to retract the service anytime it deems fit
• The customer agrees that you shall not have any claim against IndusInd Bank on account of any suspension, interruption, non-availability or malfunctioning of the service due to any link/mobile/system failure at Indusind Bank’s end for any reason thereof.
• These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and will be updated at IndusInd Bank’s discretion without notice
